How to identify your printer model

Compatibility often depends on the exact revision. Before buying any spare part, collect this information.

  1. Look for the rating plate or sticker on the back or underside of the printer: it usually shows brand, model, serial number and voltage.
  2. Open the “About”, “Info” or “Machine info” menu on the display: it often shows the model and firmware version.
  3. Check the box, the invoice or the order page: the model name is almost always there.
  4. Also note visible details: extruder type (direct drive or Bowden), bed size, hotend type.
  5. If the printer has been modified (hotend, extruder or board replaced), consider the installed parts, not the stock ones.

How to recognize it

  • Bambu Lab A1 mini: Confirm the name says A1 mini. Its bed is smaller than the A1 bed; AMS lite does not change the printer model.
  • Bambu Lab A1: Check A1 on the label and in device information. Combo denotes the bundle, not an A1 mini bed.
  • Bambu Lab A2L: Check the full model name on the label or in device information. Combo denotes an AMS bundle: check installed accessories and any modifications separately.
  • Bambu Lab P1P: Check the full model name on the label or in device information. Combo denotes an AMS bundle: check installed accessories and any modifications separately.
